Miami-dade Police Bust Truck Driver for Stealing $168k of Red Bull!

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – According to a police arrest report, a truck driver named Alain Moreno aged 46 and residing in Cutler Bay, has been arrested for stealing more than $168,000 worth of Red Bull energy drinks from a warehouse located near Miami International Airport.

Moreno was supposed to transport the pallets of energy drinks from the Geodis warehouse to a Red Bull distribution center in Fort Myers, but the shipments never made it there. Police have identified three shipments that went missing on January 31, February 13, and February 28, respectively, with a combined value of $168,855.

Moreno provided Geodis with shipment receipts containing signatures from the Red Bull operations and warehouse managers in Fort Myers. However, the operations manager told the police that the signature on the documents was from previous loads and that he had never signed documents related to the three missing shipments.

It is unclear where the shipments ended up, and Moreno has been charged with three counts of grand theft. As of Tuesday morning, he was in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a magistrate hold, according to jail records.
