It was stated on Friday by the Orlando Police Department that they have received allegations from new victims of a person who is accused of raping them. On August 15th, this person, identified as Vincent Laing Jr., age 29, was taken into custody.

At a complex located on South Kirkman Road, he is accused of entering an apartment while armed with a knife and then sexually assaulting the occupant of the apartment.

After further investigation, the police were able to link Laing to an additional rape at knifepoint that had been reported in June at the same area.

As a consequence of this, the police have issued a call to the general public, requesting that any other possible victims come forward.

The most recent report provided by the agency on Friday indicated that there may be other victims even now, and it boosted those individuals to speak out “no matter the circumstances.”

Laing is currently being investigated for two counts of kidnapping with the intent to commit a felony, two counts of false imprisonment with a weapon, and two counts of sexual battery with a lethal weapon. He is being held in custody without the possibility of bail in the Orange County Jail.
