A Maryland man claimed that he won a $30,008 lottery prize after spending the evening playing pool with pals.
Identifying himself as merely an occasional lottery player, the man from Anne Arundel County informed Maryland Lottery officials that he was playing pool at JJ’s Tavern in Glen Burnie with pals when he made the decision to play Keno.
The participant added the Super Bonus option for the numbers 9, 19, 29, 39, 49, 59, 69, and 79 to their eight-spot wager for five drawings.
After the Keno drawings were done, the man went back to playing pool and only then did he decide to examine his ticket.
After giving the waitress his ticket to scan, she came back a little while later and announced, “You won and it’s big.”

“I just looked at her and said, ‘Nah,'” the plan stated. “I looked on the back of the play card to see how much I won and after the Super Bonus, it was $30,008, but I was still skeptical.”
The winner claimed that his wife found it simpler to accept his good fortune.
“She was a huge help, setting me up for an appointment,” according to the winner. “And, here I am.”
