A couple from Ohio went to their favorite restaurant in Kentucky, where they eventually won a $100,000 lottery prize.
Alexandria resident Steven Green told Kentucky Lottery officials that he and his spouse, Wendy, enjoy eating at Wings and Rings on Somerset while they are in town and that they frequently visit Lake Cumberland to spend time on their boat.
Green recently went to the restaurant and purchased a Keno ticket.
He claimed that he regularly plays the game and that he always chooses the same ten numbers, which are a mix of the ages and birthdays of family members.
Green claimed he switched up his typical procedure, purchasing a $5 ticket rather than his customary $10 ticket, and changed a few digits.
Wendy Green said, “Oh my god, we hit a lot of numbers on this one,” as she looked over the ticket. A bartender was asked by the pair to scan their ticket.
