A Miami man is accused of first-degree murder and armed robbery in relation to the June shooting death of the proprietor of a South Florida smoke shop inside his establishment.
William Robinson, 23, of Liberty City, was one of four males captured on camera during the heist that left one person dead on June 11 at Miami Cloudz, which is located in North Miami Beach at 2063 NE 163rd St.
Authorities claimed to have entered the business and sought to view “several pieces of merchandise” from Salem Albakri, the proprietor.
Albakri, 35, who had just established the store to support himself and his wife, was subsequently shot and killed by one of the men—who was wearing a red hoodie—while he was fleeing.
According to an arrest warrant obtained on August 13, a third party who knew Albakri and got concerned when he did not answer his phone notified the North Miami Beach police about the shooting.
It says the individual looked through the company’s security footage, which they had access to, and discovered Albakri laying on the ground.
According to the authorities, Robinson may be seen in surveillance film looking at items with his left hand resting on the counter while donning a navy blue T-shirt.
According to authorities, the fingerprints would later match Robinson’s and provide a crucial indication. According to the police, they used face recognition software to identify him as well.

According to an arrest record, Robinson was being held at the Broward County jail on Tuesday when he was extradited to Miami-Dade County.
As of Wednesday, he was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond. Whether or not the other three suspects have been identified is still a mystery to the authorities.
After the incident, Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 or Detective Allen Daise at 305-949-5500 ext. 3535 were asked to be contacted by North Miami Beach police if they had any information.
