Aimee Martinez, 36, Charged with First-Degree Murder in Miami Husband's Shooting

MIAMI – A woman, Aimee Martinez, aged 36, has been arrested by the Miami-Dade Police on Friday for allegedly shooting and killing her husband in Miami during a confrontation that occurred in 2019.

Martinez has been charged with first-degree murder.

According to investigators, on March 10, Martinez dialed 911 and informed the operator that she had shot her husband multiple times during the altercation.

Upon arriving at the scene located at 4730 SW 67th Ave., officers discovered Martinez’s husband, Osmanny Montano, aged 34, with gunshot wounds.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue also responded to the incident, but Montano was pronounced dead at the scene.

As part of their investigation, detectives found evidence contradicting Martinez’s statements.

After reviewing the evidence, the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office determined that there was enough reason to believe that Martinez had committed first-degree murder.
