After three vehicles were involved in a hit-and-run incident in Miami early on Monday morning, authorities reported that a 29-year-old man had died and a woman had been injured. They have since opened an investigation.
Detective Angel Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department, stated that police officers were called to the scene of the incident shortly after 3:30 a.m. between Southwest 43rd Avenue and Eighth Street, close to LeJeune Road in the Little Gables neighborhood of the city.
The driver of one of the automobiles involved in the incident was declared deceased at the site by an unaffiliated medic, according to Miami Fire Rescue, while the driver of the other vehicle was sent to Coral Gables Hospital in stable condition.
Rodriguez additionally verified that the third vehicle’s driver fled on foot from the site.
Additionally, he added that after the MDPD’s Traffic Homicide Unit responded, they ascertained that Miami was the jurisdiction of the city where the incident first occurred. The inquiry has been turned over to Miami police.
There was significant damage to the automobiles involved, and there was a broken street sign and a destroyed pole in the Walgreens parking lot. Broken glass was all over the place.
Living close by and traveling through this crossroads twice a week, Dr. Carlos Coro called the area “extremely dangerous.” He expressed his sympathies to the relatives of the deceased and noted that accidents at this crossing have become all too regular.

“My goodness, the family ā can you imagine their family?” Coro stated.
Crime scene investigators were observed taking pictures of the area for the majority of Monday morning as they attempted to identify the cause of the fatal crash and ascertain who was at fault.
Regarding the victims and the person who left the site following the collision, the police have not disclosed any information. LeJeune Road was temporarily closed after the incident, according to the authorities, but it has now reopened.
