Bar Smith is facing legal issues once more. On July 7, the star of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, who debuted on Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant, was taken into custody in Nevada.
The charges and arrest were covered by Ashley Roundup. Viewers of the program are aware of the distance between Smith and his spouse, Ashley Jones. Jones and their daughter Holly reside in Las Vegas, while Smith is purportedly on probation and resides in California. Following years of intermittent conflict, the two parted ways last year.
Smith faces charges of kidnapping in the second degree, a felony. According to the article, holding someone against their will in Nevada results in a second-degree kidnapping charge even though no physical harm is inflicted.
In the state, second-degree kidnapping is classified as a category B felony, carrying a potential two to fifteen year jail sentence. Smith might potentially have to pay hundreds of dollars in fines to the courts.
In addition, Smith faces charges related to “Coercion Domestic Violence with the Threat of or Using Physical Force.” The fact that the charge is a different crime suggests that he either intimidated or coerced the victim into doing something.

Not only that, but Smith also accrued a misdemeanor charge of first-degree harassment. Additionally, he faces charges linked to an unrelated incident that are marked as “Contempt of Municipal Court.”
Smith was still incarcerated as of the time of this publication. $35k has been set as his bail.
It was revealed earlier this year that Jones will be recording the show’s most recent season by herself following Smith’s disappearance.
The couple’s treatment version of the show was being filmed by the two last year, but their trip was cut short and they were ordered back home. According to the Ashley, they got into a fight at the Columbia hotel.
