Bedford Double Murder Daughter Allegedly Behind Parents' Deaths

Authorities claim that 24-year-old Jessica Cavallaro shot her parents and then admitted to the crimes.

A few fresh information regarding the killings surfaced as the Bedford lady who is suspected of shooting her parents in a car this week made her court appearance on Thursday.

Following her arraignment in Concord District Court, Jessica Cavallaro, 24, was placed under arrest without bond. She is charged with two charges of murder, two counts of battery and assault with a deadly weapon, and unlawful firearm possession. She is going to have a mental health assessment.

According to the prosecution, on Thursday morning in Bedford, Cavallaro killed her parents, Mark and Thelma Cavallaro, in a car on Washington Street. They were both 56 years old.

On Thursday, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced that Cavallaro entered the home and admitted to shooting her parents, prompting a call to the police from a resident.

The two victims were discovered by police with gunshot wounds to their heads inside a car on a nearby yard. At the scene, Tatten was declared deceased. On a local hospital, Mark Cavallaro passed away.

Their daughter shared the Washington Street home with her boyfriend. She claimed to have experienced a panic attack when she suddenly returned home from work on Thursday.

After spending almost half an hour inside the house, she allegedly shot her parents in the car. Their goal had been to have breakfast together.

After that, Cavallaro returned inside and confessed to her boyfriend’s parents, who reportedly dialed 911. Cavallaro was taken into custody right away.

As to a police report acquired by The Boston Globe, Cavallaro’s boyfriend’s father informed authorities that she might have received the murder weapon from a safe in his residence.

He disclosed to authorities that his son was a gun owner as well and that the home contained at least four additional weapons.

Cavallaro admitted to authorities that she was “thinking about suicide” while she was being taken into custody. She filled out a suicide assessment form indicating that she was at “medium risk.”

The pair called Genetti Street home. They were recalled by their neighbors as a friendly pair who made an attempt to talk.
