Police in Kansas City, Missouri, say that a shooting on Friday night killed one man and hurt four other people, including a girl younger than five.
Just before 9:30 p.m. on Friday, there were reports of shots at a gas station, so Kansas City police went there. Five people were shot, but only four of them were hurt badly enough to put their lives in danger.
Police say that a guy who had been shot died at a nearby hospital. In the shooting, four people were hurt: three women and a young girl.
A police spokesman said that the neighborhood is not in danger, even though they don’t know who did it or why. The police will pay $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect.
The Gun Violence Archive says that the shooting in Kansas City is the 156th mass shooting in the U.S. this year. It is the first of its kind near Kansas City.
