During a traffic stop, police allegedly discovered a bag of cocaine concealed within a cheeseburger. As a result, a man and woman from North Carolina were taken into custody.
According to a Facebook post by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, De Anthonie Trey Vion Taylor, 23, is charged with several drug offenses, including possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
“BK, have it your way… not today,” the sheriff’s department continued.
Guns, fentanyl, and other illegal substances discovered in the car
According to the Facebook post, deputies claimed to have discovered the narcotic during the Tuesday traffic check.
Apart from the cocaine found in the cheeseburger, the sheriff’s office reported that deputies also found two weapons, fentanyl, marijuana, and the medication clonazepam, which is used to treat seizures and anxiety.

The sheriff’s office reports that 24-year-old Brianna Marie Smith, who was riding in the car, was also taken into custody and charged with possessing cocaine, carrying a concealed weapon, possessing drug paraphernalia, and possessing a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver it.
According to prison records, Smith is still behind bars on a $50,000 bond, but Taylor has since bonded out of Lee County Jail. It’s unknown if Smith or Taylor have legal representation.
