The Covid-19 pandemic’s financial effects led to the creation of stimulus cheques, which helped Americans’ finances and economic circumstances.
A $725 monthly direct payment that arose in California, notably in Sacramento, is one of the new initiatives that have been introduced in some states, while others are still in operation.
Reduced economic disparity, regular monthly payments to all eligible people, and the welfare of children in eligible households are the goals of the Sacramento Family First Economic Support Pilot (FFESP) initiative.
This program provides guaranteed income to parents or legal guardians of Native American, African American, and Native American children aged 0 to 5.
On September 30, 2024, applications for the pilot program started, and on October 13, 2024, they closed. Participants will be chosen at random, and in mid-December 2024, authorities will start transferring the $725 guaranteed income for a year into their bank accounts.
