Central Broward Crash 2 Dead, Multiple Injuries in Devastating Accident

Following a crash Sunday afternoon in unincorporated central Broward County, six people were transported to the hospital as trauma alert patients, according to fire personnel. Deputies reported that two people had been declared dead.

Officials from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue say the collision occurred at Northwest 27th Avenue and Sixth Street, close to Washington Park and Boulevard Gardens, just before 4 p.m.

A number of deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office were present at the incident, and one of the vehicles was upside down on the road in footage.

According to BSFR, all six patients were sent to the trauma center of Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.

All the victims who survived were in critical to serious condition, according to BSFR Battalion Chief Michael Kane.

Whether the two fatalities were among the six who were brought to the hospital at first wasn’t immediately apparent. He added that as they continue to examine the collision, authorities intend to keep the intersection closed until the evening.
