Comstock Man in Jail Custody for Allegedly Solicitating a Minor in Michigan; Was Intoxicated when Arrested

In Rogers Heights, Mecosta Township, a Comstock man was taken into custody on Friday as part of a multi-agency human trafficking/sextortion operation.

The man was identified as 53-year-old Erik Lundquist by the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, which conducted the operation. He was taken into custody for OWI and soliciting and accosting a juvenile (someone under the age of sixteen).

For solicitation and prostitution (persons 18 years of age and older), a 48-year-old Grand Rapids man was also taken into custody. He has not yet been arraigned.

The sheriff’s office reiterated that no children were hurt or participated in the operation, claiming that adults dressed as children were used as decoys.

The task force included the following departments: Big Rapids Department of Public Safety, Ferris State University Department, City of Mt. Pleasant Public Safety, Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office, Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office, and Osceola County Sheriff’s Office: Michigan.
