Critical Landing: Boeing 767 Emergency Landing Due to Front Landing Gear Failure

A FedEx Boeing 767 nearly escaped disaster when its front landing gear failed to come out as it descended onto a runway, and the entire incident is seen on camera.

Look at this: as the cargo jet lands at the Istanbul airport, its nose lowers down, producing sparks and smoke to fly up as it scratches the pavement.

After taking off from Paris, the aircraft lurches ahead for a little while until coming to a complete halt, at which point assistance arrives shortly after. As airport cars get closer to the collision, they spill something on the ground, probably in an attempt to put out the fire.

Fortunately, no one was hurt, but it’s still unknown why the plane’s front landing gear failed.

Later, airport operator IGA revealed that although other aircraft were allowed to arrive and depart on other runways, the runway had been temporarily blocked to air traffic at the time of the crash landing.

According to reports, FedEx is working with investigators investigating the crash landing, and they promised in a statement to release more details as soon as they become available.

This plane accident is the most recent aviation mishap to happen in 2024. Recall that in March, a Boeing-built United flight was forced to make an emergency landing due to a panel near the bottom of the aircraft being torn off in midair. There was also a landing in South Africa that resembled this.

Similar to this, a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 made headlines in April when the engine cover tore off after takeoff.
