FORT LAUDERDALE – A shooting that occurred at a 7-Eleven in Dania Beach resulted in the deaths of two persons and the injury of a third person who was brought to the hospital.
Approximately 11 minutes after 11 o’clock on Thursday night, the Broward Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting a shooting in the 800 block of Stirling Road, according to the sheriff’s office.
Maximo Limas, who works at a restaurant that is located within the convenience store, said that he saw the whole event.
According to him, the suspect shot and killed a guy in the parking lot before entering the business.
“He didn’t even bother to draw his weapon before opening fire. After opening the door, he immediately began firing his weapon.
The first one he shot was just hanging out in his vehicle minding his own thing when he was interrupted. “Pow, you hit him in the neck with the shot,” Limas added.
He said that a youngster was the third victim to be shot.
“He killed an 11-year-old boy, and then he just killed himself,” said Limas. “He shot a customer, the child was simply trying to get some ice cream when he was murdered. That’s the only thing he was focusing on,”
That information has not been validated by the sheriff’s office at this time.
Now, the investigators are seeking to figure out what led up to the incident that took place.
