The woman who vanished from her Beaverton apartment on Wednesday morning is the subject of a community search.

When 32-year-old Melissa Marie Jubane failed to arrive for her shift as a nurse at the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, she was reported missing. Her coworkers called the Beaverton Police Department as soon as they became suspicious.

Jubane is characterized by investigators as 120 pounds and 5’2″. Officials say they have not discovered any leads, but they have not yet disclosed any more information to the public on this matter.

Community members declared that they would begin a 7 a.m. search for Jubane on Friday following the failure of a police search that lasted through Wednesday.

“You hear about it and you see about it all around different areas around the world about missing people and when it’s someone that you really care about and you’re really close to, it just doesn’t feel real,” former co-worker Samantha Oregon stated. “It’s like you don’t want it to be real.”

Former coworker Samantha Oregon stated, “You hear about it and you see about it all over different areas around the world about missing people, and when it’s someone that you really care about and you’re really close to, it just doesn’t feel real.” You seem not to want it to be true.

At 7:30 p.m., there was another search conducted in the Beaverton Costco parking lot located next to her apartment complex at 15901 SW Jenkins Rd.

At least one hundred people tried to assist between the two events.

The Beaverton police said that they have used all available free resources on the case, including searching the premises with a bloodhound.

“We’re just trying to find answers, for Melissa and her family. you know, trying to find anything that could help us as to her whereabouts,” Oregon stated. “Whenever she see me little down, she would always bring me back up. So she was definitely like my rock. Whenever I had tough times.”

According to reports, Jubane’s brother, a physician in the area, collaborates closely with investigators. The family hasn’t yet communicated with the media in the interim.

“Everyone has been saying she was a super sweet person, she has a good heart, always wanting to help people,” Vianca Urias, another former co-worker, stated. “Everyone — co-workers, friends — a lot of people that came today, that shows a lot of her personality and what kind of person she was.”

Jubane’s friends claimed that she had only been married for around two weeks and that her sudden absence was unusual.

“It’s definitely not like her. And she has her, her dog. So I know that she wouldn’t want to leave her dog for so long. So that was like her little baby,” Oregon stated. “It’s been very difficult for everyone that knew her and how great of person she is,”
