Driver Gives Fake ID to Cop, Leads Police on Insane 3-Mile Chase!

OCALA, Fla. —The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says a man ran away from a cop during a traffic stop and was caught by a K-9.

The sheriff’s office says that Deputy Gabriel Pulford stopped De’Ante Chrisholm on Northwest Gainesville Road because he was going too fast. Deputies say that Chrisholm then gave them a picture of a driver’s card that did not belong to him.

The sheriff’s office says that Deputy Pulford then asked Chrisholm if he had any other forms of ID. Chrisholm said that he had left his wallet at home.

The sheriff’s office says he kept telling detectives that the card he gave them was his.

Deputies say that Deputy Pulford went back to his police car and looked up records, which led him to think Chrisholm lied about who he was.

Deputies say that when Deputy Pulford went back to the car, he could smell marijuana coming from the car.

Deputies say that Chrisholm was told to get out of his car, but instead of doing what he was told, he drove away at a high rate of speed and almost hit another car.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says that Deputy Pulford then started a car chase.

Deputies say that Chrisholm ran south on Northwest Gainesville Road for more than three miles. In the end, he lost control of his car as he turned west onto Highway 329 and hit a fence near the crossing.

Deputies say Chrisholm got out of his car and started running away from the cops.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office posted a video showing Chrisholm being caught by the K-9.

You can hear Chrisholm tell Deputy Pulford that the dog is biting him on the head. The video shows that Pulford took the K-9 off of Chrisholm and cuffed him.

Deputies say that after they caught him, they found a stolen gun, 113 grams of marijuana, drug tools, and $750 in cash.

Deputies also found out that he had been guilty of a crime and had open warrants for not showing up in court.

Deputies say Chrisholm was charged with fleeing to avoid a law enforcement officer, possessing a firearm by a convicted felon, possessing more than 20 grams of marijuana, giving a law enforcement officer false identification, resisting arrest without violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
