POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A person has died after being shot in Pompano Beach.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) said that just before 3 a.m. on Friday, officers went to 2330 N.W. Sixth Street after hearing gunshots.
Deputies say that they found Andrew Ford, who was 32 years old, with shooting wounds. A deputy took action right away to save the person’s life until Pompano Beach Fire Rescue came.
The sheriff’s office said that Ford was taken to a nearby hospital by emergency workers, where he was later declared dead.
Detectives from the BSO’s Homicide Unit were told about the fatal shooting, and they are still looking into what happened.
