Fiery Crash in Oakland Park One Dead, Two Hospitalized

OAKLAND PARK, FLA.  – According to authorities, a fiery crash in Oakland Park resulted in the death of one person and the hospitalization of two others.

Deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and units from the Oakland Park Fire Rescue responded to the incident, which occurred on Northwest 39th Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.

At approximately 3 a.m., investigators received a report of a single-vehicle collision with injuries in front of a fire station. Upon arrival, deputies found the vehicle completely engulfed in flames, with shattered windows.

Oakland Park Fire Chief Stephen Krivjanik stated that firefighters heard the impact of the crash. “Our firefighters heard a noise from outside and noticed the vehicle on fire in the apron. They immediately called for assistance and began attending to the injured individuals,” he explained.

Firefighters transported two individuals with serious injuries and burns to Broward Health Medical Center, while the third victim was pronounced dead at the crash site.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office’s Traffic Homicide Unit is currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the accident.
