After her 14-year-old daughter was discovered dead inside their house on Wednesday night, investigators said a Florida mother seemed to grin as deputies accompanied her on a perp walk.
Responding deputies discovered 33-year-old Kelsie Glover following witnesses inside her Poinciana house with a hammer, leading to her arrest earlier that day on allegations of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery, according to Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez.
Deputies were informed by witnesses that Glover submerged her daughter, 14, in a bathtub until she lost consciousness. They claimed that when they attempted to stop Glover from hurting her daughter, she began to rush after them and assault them with a hammer.
The teen, later named as Giselle Glover, was declared dead at a hospital after deputies at the residence attempted to revive her.
Additional charges against Glover are pending the outcome of a medical examiner’s investigation into the teen’s cause of death, according to Lopez.
“It’s a dark day when things like this happen,” Lopez stated. “What happened to her was unimaginable, and we are determined to get justice for Giselle.”
According to Lopez, Glover, her kid, another youngster, and a roommate were among the four individuals inside the house when the incident occurred.
Lopez stated that the father of Giselle Glover had been informed of his daughter’s passing but was not there in the house at the time.
Investigations are still ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the teen’s death. Glover, according to Lopez, has been “a little uncooperative.”

Although the youngster and her mother had no prior history of domestic violence or calls, the sheriff stated that Glover had previously been charged with assaulting her husband, the teen’s father.
Lopez went on to say that officials were unaware of Glover’s history of mental illness.
