Earlier this week, a missing Green Bay youngster was taken into custody for grand theft auto in Florida.
Tuesday morning, a deputy stopped a car with a Wisconsin license plate that was going 31 mph in a 20 mph school zone, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Jayden Reed, the driver, stated he was “new to the area and did not realize he was driving through a school zone.” He is 17 years old. A written warning was sent to Reed.
A few hours later, the Green Bay Police Department reported that Reed was gone and that the car he was driving had recently been reported stolen to the Sheriff’s Office.

After locating Reed’s car at a petrol station, police carried out a high-risk traffic stop. Both Reed and his passenger, Seymour resident Katie Stevens, 18, were taken out of the car.
Reed took the car from his father while he was abroad on business, according to an inquiry. A few weeks before this event, Reed was pulled over by GBPD for reckless driving, and as a result, he was not allowed to drive the car.
