Authorities confirmed that three workers were hospitalized on Thursday afternoon following an explosion that was reported at a food kiosk inside Hard Rock Stadium.
This occurred in the vicinity of the 300 block of Don Shula Drive shortly after 3 p.m. Hazmat units were sent to the location because there were allegations of a gas odor, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
It has been established by the authorities that two employees were flown by air rescue and one by ground to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
According to MDFR, a private ambulance transported the third victim to a nearby hospital.
As per the official statement issued by Hard Rock Stadium, “This afternoon, an incident occurred in a concession stand on the club level of the stadium. Three workers sustained injuries and have been taken to a local hospital for further care. The cause of the incident was quickly identified and extinguished. There is no further threat and no expected impact on the Dolphins game Friday evening.”

The victims’ age, gender, identity, and condition were not disclosed by the authorities, and it is yet unknown what caused the explosion. No other information was made public right away.
