In November, the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) announced a change to the state’s driver’s license examination procedure.
In anticipation of a statewide upgrade, MSHP has announced that driver examination stations would close at 12 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, and throughout the day on November 8, 2024.
On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the examination stations will come back online.
You can anticipate three different kinds of improvements in November, according to the Missouri Department of Revenue’s (DOR) website: real-time updates to driver license records, integration with the MSHP system, and modernization of the driver license record system.
It claims that these adjustments will improve the efficiency of the driver’s license application process and assist prevent driver’s license fraud.
The Class F written exam will now be available in 20 languages as part of this update, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
This contains a recently developed video version of the test in sign language, which was produced by the Missouri Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

More modifications will be made in July 2026 and spring 2025, according to the Missouri DOR website. This includes ID cards and driver’s licenses that consumers can store on their phones.
