Investigation Underway as Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Probes Fatal Shooting and Hospital Incident!

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Probes Fatal Shooting

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking into reports of a lady being shot and left at a nearby hospital on Wednesday night.

She passed away a few hours later.

Aniyah Womack, 19, was her name, according to her relatives.

Aniyah is very special to us. As her grandma Gail Taylor put it, “so much.”

Taylor and her loved ones find it hard to make sense of the events that led up to Womack’s death.

Around 12:30 on Wednesday morning, JSO was reportedly called to Memorial Hospital.

Taylor said that she and Womack had just six hours earlier spoken on the phone.

She promised she’d return home today. That’s why we’ve been waiting for her to get home, Taylor concluded.

Womack’s loved ones have indicated that they last saw her with a group of individuals they suspect are keeping quiet.

Officers were dispatched to the corner of Trednick Parkway and Monument Road based on preliminary information provided to JSO.

A man and a woman picked her up in the vicinity, according to the police, although the JSO claims there was no crime scene at the crossroads. It took them about 15 minutes to reach Memorial Hospital, where they left Womack.

The individuals who dropped her off are now being questioned by police.

Womack’s cousin Autumn Redding stated, “We want to know where her stuff is, where she is, where her friends that were hanging out with her.” In the event of an accident, you must remain at their side and see it through. That wasn’t it.

Whether or not the folks who dropped her off were Good Samaritans is unknown, according to the police.

Whoever dropped her off forgot to provide Womack’s name to the hospital.

Around 2:00 in the morning, the family arrived at the emergency room. Womack reportedly passed away around 4 a.m.

“There’s no reason to give her a name after she dies,” Redding remarked. They took someone precious from us, and we will do all in our power to ensure that her life is commemorated and that justice is served for her.

Redding stated that Womack’s new employment will begin on Wednesday.
