On Tuesday, police said that they had taken an 18-year-old into custody in relation to a shooting incident that occurred at a mall in Iowa, wounding both the youngster and an additional person and forcing others to flee for their lives.

Following the gunshot on Monday afternoon inside NorthPark Mall in Davenport, a 100,000-person city beside the Mississippi River, police discovered the 16-year-old had been driven by a private vehicle to a hospital. They then arrested him on several firearms counts.

As to the news release from Davenport Police, the adolescent and an additional individual exchanged gunfire within the mall. It wasn’t thought that their wounds were fatal.

While some people fled the mall, others sought safety inside store dressing rooms and other locations following the incident.
