During his trial, a 43-year-old man who burned and abused his little daughter before escaping to Kentucky will serve 40 years in jail.

Nathan Ginter was sentenced by a judge to 40 years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections, according to a statement released by the Solicitor’s Office for the Fifth Judicial Circuit on October 22.

On June 12, he was found guilty by a jury of four charges of criminal conduct toward a child for the physical abuse of his daughter, age three.

A bench warrant was issued for Ginter’s arrest after he skipped his trial. On June 22, local officials in Georgetown, Kentucky, arrested Ginter and his accomplice, Riley Pearson, according to the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office for the 18th Judicial Circuit. On October 10, he was returned to South Carolina by extradition.

Ginter allegedly tortured and abused his daughter between January and March 2022. According to the prosecution, he bruised his daughter’s body by beating her with a bamboo stick.

In addition, he allegedly used a drive-stun gun on her buttocks for weeks, producing second-degree burns, and waterboarded her with cold water. When the child’s grandfather and aunt noticed the burns, they informed the authorities.

The solicitor’s office claims that investigators saw pictures of the abuse and collected digital evidence from Ginter’s and the child’s mother’s phones. Video of “the defendant narrating his actions while waterboarding” his daughter was purportedly acquired by the authorities.

The 9-year-old sister of the victim, who reportedly witnessed the abuse, gave a statement in court.

The victim’s current guardian, Ashley Kimbler, told WIS-TV that the child “is kind, sweet, and loving and not because of what he did, but because of me and my husband.” A father who took her in and would change the world for her instead of attempting to destroy it teaches her what true love is.

Tiffany Brittain, the mother of the 3-year-old, is currently serving a seven-year jail sentence after allegedly entering a guilty plea to identical child abuse crimes against the kid.
