Kissimmee was the location of the official opening celebration for a brand new behavior therapy clinic that welcomes people of all cultures and languages.
In 2015, Santiago & Friends opened their first autism center in Orlando, Florida, followed by a second center in Titusville, Florida.
Now, the facility will be expanding to a third location in the city of Kissimmee.
It is intended that a fourth station will be opened in Sanford during the Summer of this year. This location will serve a total of four counties, including Seminole, Orange, Brevard, and Osceola.
The executive director of Latino Leadership, Marucci GuzmĆ”n, expressed excitement about the organization’s plans to provide programs that are culturally and linguistically welcoming to the Kissimmee community.
“Our goal is to provide individualized therapy services that are tailored to each child’s unique needs and support their families with wrap-around services,” GuzmĆ”n said. “We want to make sure that every child gets the care that they deserve.”
The new facility will provide a variety of behavioral programs for parents, which will assist them in fulfilling their role as a support system for their children during the treatment process.
Santiago & Friends makes an effort to ensure that their programs are accessible to both English and Spanish speakers.
According to Maritza Sanz, the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Latino Leadership, “We aim to create an environment where every child and family feels supported and valued by providing therapy and education services that are culturally and linguistically inclusive.”
Thursday was the day that the ceremony to cut the ribbon took place.
