Family members are looking for their mother, who vanished from Southern California, desperately. Adriana Rodriguez, 40, of Lynwood, was last seen on April 17 and has been missing for almost six months.

Adriana’s daughter Valerie Rodriguez stated, “It hurts. It hurts me and my brother.”

Leticia, Adriana’s mother, reported that the last time they spoke, Adriana had asked for the address of Pepe’s, a Downey restaurant situated on the 9000 block of Telegraph Road.

Since Adriana’s car wasn’t working when she wanted to go to the dinner, she informed her mother she would catch a ride with someone else.

That would be her final communication to anyone.

Leticia went to Adriana’s house in Lynwood after she was unable to get in touch with her that evening. All of Adrianna’s personal items were abandoned inside. She seemed to be in the middle of doing laundry when she left the house, carrying only her cell phone.

Her loved ones are inconsolable and have a ton of unanswered questions as they carry on with their search in the hopes of finding her.

Regarding her mother, Valerie remarked, “She was a funny person.” Even when we didn’t want her gifts, she would always give them to us. She was that kind of person all along.

Detectives looking into homicides say that while the case is being investigated, it’s still unclear if foul play was involved.

“Our detectives have been working this case since April when Adriana went missing,” Sgt. Mike Rodriguez with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated. “We’re trying to keep all of our investigative options open. We’re not ruling anything out. We welcome any information so we can bring a safe closure to her family.”

Adriana’s friends and family requested that law enforcement devote more resources to the search for their missing mother during a press conference on Thursday in Downey.

“It’s been very tough these months without her and I wish I could spend more time with her,” Valerie stated. “I try to stay strong and pray for us to find her.”

Adriana is a female Hispanic who weighs about 130 pounds and is 5 feet 4 inches tall. Her hair is dark, and her eyes are brown. The LASD Missing Persons Unit can be reached at 323-890-5500 if you have any information about the case.
