As part of their ongoing Operation Consequences, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported that they recovered illegal substances, made 29 arrests, and seized about a dozen firearms.
A coalition of law enforcement agencies has been investigating organized criminal networks in and around the city of San Bernardino, including Chino, Fontana, and Bloomington, for the past week, according to an SBSD alert.
Five search warrants were served on Friday at the following places as a result of the one-week period:
Address | City |
19200 block of 4th Street | Chino |
7300 block of Poplar Drive | Fontana |
1100 block of West Mill Street | San Bernardino |
18800 block of 14th Street | Bloomington |
10700 block of Linden Avenue | Bloomington |
While serving the warrants, investigators spoke with gang members and those who were not allowed to own firearms, according to SBSD. This led to the seizure of 10 weapons, including one ghost gun, and the arrest of 29 individuals, 11 on felony counts and 18 on misdemeanors.
Authorities said the operation also resulted in the recovery of marijuana and other drugs.
The sheriff’s department has released photos showing that in addition to several handguns and drugs, six long weapons were confiscated.
The main goals of Operation Consequences are to carry out targeted criminal suppression efforts and probation and parole inspections across the High Desert.
Participants in the operation come from the SBSD’s Specialized Enforcement Division, Gangs/Narcotics Division, and local patrol stations.
