Man Targeted, Drugged, and Robbed of $600,000, Police Probe the Case

MIAMI – An investigation has been opened by the Miami Police Department into an allegation of a theft in which a guy stated that he was drugged and robbed of over 600,000 dollars worth of jewels.

According to the victim, the suspect came to his residence in the early morning hours of May 8 along the 800 block of Northeast First Avenue with a woman he had met earlier that night at the Dirty Rabbit nightclub and dance club in Wynwood. This information was provided by the victim.

The victim reportedly fell asleep at his flat after they had shared a drink, according to the police.

“And he was having some drinks, met this lady, and said, ‘Hey, let’s go back to my apartment,'” said Officer Michael Vega of the Miami Police Department. “And he was going back and forth between the two apartments.” Vega relayed what happened next: “She offered to pour him a drink, and he began to sip on his drink. About three sips into it, he fell asleep,” she added.

The victim awoke about midday to find that his safe had been opened, that his jewelry had been taken, and that the female suspect had disappeared.

Vega stated that the man’s safe had been broken into, all of his jewelry had been stolen, and the woman was nowhere to be found.

The stolen valuables consist of a diamond-encrusted Rolex Daytona Rainbow watch, a Rolex Sky-Dweller watch, a gold chain, gold Franco bracelets, Cartier sunglasses, and a rose gold diamond ring.

The authorities were able to collect surveillance footage that caught the female suspect arriving at the building with the victim and then leaving the building shortly after.

The suspect is a lady who is in her middle 30s, has long black hair, is between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs roughly 140 pounds, and stands between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall.

“We noticed that she has two Solo cups in her hands, so she took hers so that we don’t get DNA from that cup, and she takes the one she served him so that we don’t see what she put in that drink to drug him,” Vega said. “We also noticed that she has two Solo cups in her hands.” We have a sneaking suspicion that she’s done this before.

The police have a warning for those people who are out partying late at night.

“We always say, be careful, do not take strangers home, and here we have it again,” Vega added. “Here we have it again.”

The incident is currently being looked into by the Miami Police Department, and they are asking anyone who may have information about the case or the name of the culprit to come forward.

If you have any information concerning this theft or the whereabouts of the suspect, please contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at the number 305-471-TIPS. Keep in mind that you are under no obligation to reveal your identity, and there is a possibility that you could receive a prize of up to $5,000 for providing information.
