MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — An investigation has been opened by the police in Miami Beach into a gunshot that left three persons injured, one of whom did not survive.
On Sunday morning, shortly before 4 o’clock, it took place in the GALA Miami bar, which is situated off 23rd Street.
After arriving at the location, the cops who responded found three victims who had been shot, as stated by the authorities.
One guy and two women were taken by emergency medical services to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital; however, the male was pronounced dead there shortly after their arrival.
According to the authorities, it is anticipated that both of the female victims would survive their injuries.
It was determined by friends that the deceased individual was Lowell Grissom, also known by his nickname, Young Lo.
The circumstances that led up to the shooting are currently being investigated by the police. There has been no information regarding any arrests or any suspects. There may be more than one.
Following the incident, GALA Miami issued a statement, which included the following in part:
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by the isolated and targeted incident that occurred last night at our upscale establishment. We are still trying to piece together exactly what happened.” During this difficult moment, our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s loved ones and close friends.
Ray Breslin, president of the Collins Park Neighborhood Association, expressed his desire to the local news station Local 10 News for the individual who started the shooting to be apprehended.
“I found out three people had been shot, which for me, in this neighborhood, is a shock,” he added. “I’m shocked that this happened.” We have not been made aware of any of the happenings on Ocean Drive or over Spring Break.
