Missing 70-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Fort Lauderdale Investigation Underway

The search for a missing elderly woman has come to an end with the recovery of her body from a body of water in Fort Lauderdale.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), 70-year-old Caroline Woolery-Walters was discovered deceased on Thursday evening. Authorities received a call reporting a body in a river located in Fort Lauderdale.

The missing persons alert was issued on June 7 after Woolery-Walters was last seen in the vicinity of 300 Terminal Drive at Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport (FLL). She had been traveling from Jamaica to visit family in Philadelphia.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that Woolery-Walters’ body was found near Southwest Fourth Street shortly after 5:30 p.m.
