The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri granted Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey’s motion to stop President Biden’s alleged latest illegal student loan distribution scam.

Bailey claimed that this is a major victory for the Constitution and that Congress never granted Biden the right to burden working Americans with half a trillion dollars in debt owed by others.

“The Constitution makes clear that Joe Biden does not get to thwart Congress when it suits his political agenda. The Constitution will continue to mean something as long as I’m Attorney General,” Bailey stated.

According to Bailey, the federal government’s “SAVE” Plan, which would have really cost Americans $475 billion, or $45 billion more than its previous illegal student loan plan, is the subject of his complaint. The court’s ruling prevents the student loan distribution from going into force on July 1.

“I will not stand by while Joe Biden attempts to illegally saddle working Missourians with Ivy League debt,” Bailey added.

Bailey had previously challenged what the AG claimed was Biden’s unilateral and illegal wealth transfer of hundreds of billions of dollars in student loan debt, and the US Supreme Court upheld that case.

Bailey said that the Court invalidated Biden’s plan in a 6-3 ruling, citing the plan’s enormous $430 billion+ impact on the federal budget in the absence of explicit congressional authority.

The Court granted the states standing to contest the student loan plan because it determined that MOHELA, the firm responsible for servicing student loans in Missouri, was a branch of the state government.

“During my time in the United States Army, I swore an oath to protect the Constitution against enemies both foreign and domestic. I took a similar oath to uphold the Constitution when I was sworn in as Attorney General,” Bailey stated. “Only Congress has the power of the purse, not the President. Today’s ruling was a huge win for the rule of law, and for every American who Joe Biden was about to force to pay off someone else’s debt.”

The attorneys general of Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, North Dakota, Ohio, and Oklahoma joined General Bailey in filing the lawsuit.
