Los Angeles police are in need of assistance in locating the driver who they believe murdered a motorcyclist in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood by running a red light.

At around 7:35 a.m. on May 18, a fatal collision occurred at the junction of Avenue 20 and North Broadway. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, detectives reported that as the motorbike was traveling north on Avenue 20, the driver of a white Ford pickup truck ran a red light.

The biker dropped his motorcycle to avoid the truck, but he crashed into the road instead. The truck ran over him after his corpse slid beneath it.

Without assisting the injured driver, the pickup left. The man was taken to a nearby hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department, who were attempting to save him. But at a nearby medical facility, the physicians declared him dead. The victim, who is 49 years old, has not been named by authorities.
