Murder Suspect in Boca Raton Case Could Face More Charges Due to False Statements

BOCA RATON, FL — Brandon Labiner, the man accused of shooting and killing his father in Boca Raton over the weekend, provided false information to the Palm Beach County Jail, which was uncovered by BocaNewsNow.com. This lie may result in additional charges against the murder suspect.

Following his arrest for the brutal murder of his father, attorney Paul S. Labiner, Brandon Labiner falsely claimed to the Palm Beach County Jail that his booking photo should be kept private under Florida Statute 119.

He alleged that he had previously held positions as a Federal Judge, Federal Magistrate Judge, or federal prosecutor, which could grant exemptions from Florida’s public record law.

However, BocaNewsNow.com discovered that Labiner, 34, had never occupied any of those positions and had actually been disbarred at the time of his arrest.

Sources informed BocaNewsNow.com that the Palm Beach County Jail, the State Attorney’s Office, and other agencies collaborated to verify the information provided.

The booking photo was eventually released at around 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, and sources confirmed that Labiner, who had signed a notarized form falsely stating his employment, could face additional charges.

Concerns have also been raised regarding Labiner’s attorney, Val Rodriquez, and whether he advised his client to commit perjury knowingly. Rodriquez did not respond to BocaNewsNow.com’s request for information.

Labiner is currently held without bond, and the decision to pursue additional charges will ultimately lie with Palm Beach County State Attorney David Aronberg’s office.
