Following an alleged social media set-up in which they reportedly offered a man sex in the course of a robbery plan that resulted in his death, two adults and a juvenile are charged with capital murder in Texas.

For the death of 20-year-old Kameron Montre Anderson, Nathaniel Hall, 18, Jasmine Williams, 21, and an unidentified 16-year-old kid are in jail.

At a press conference on Saturday, Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith informed the media that the investigation got underway on September 1 in neighboring Rusk County after deputies were dispatched to a car fire. After putting out the fire, the firefighters discovered Anderson, a male, dead inside the trunk. He was carrying multiple gunshot wounds.

Smith claimed that Hall, his girlfriend Williams, and their 16-year-old companion were all recognized by detectives as potential suspects.

Investigators think the three may have used social media to entice Anderson from his Dallas area home—possibly for sex—to Hall’s home in Smith County, where the suspects intended to carry out a heist known as a “rip.”

Anderson was slain eventually. Smith claims that on the evening of Anderson’s death, nearby residents heard gunfire in the vicinity of Hall’s residence. Additionally, it was alleged by Hall’s mother to deputies that her son spent the evening with pals who included Williams and the young suspect.

The three allegedly put Anderson in the trunk of his own automobile after the shooting and traveled to Rusk County, where they burned the car on fire.

Police were able to get an arrest warrant for Hall. Three on Wednesday, Tyler police pulled over a car carrying five individuals, among them Hall.

Authorities purportedly found on Hall a stolen 9 mm handgun and an AR-15 rifle, the same caliber used in the murder. Whether that is the murder weapon or not is still a mystery to investigators. They searched Hall’s house and discovered 9 mm bullets as well.

Afterwards, Williams and the young suspect were placed under arrest. The youngster is being held at a juvenile institution, and Hall and Williams are at the Smith County Jail.

Smith claimed that Hall had contacted his sister while he was incarcerated, telling her to “clean up” their home—a reference that detectives interpret to suggest that he wants all traces of the purported murder scene removed.

“We’re looking at the death penalty,” Smith stated. “It is a capital offense. They robbed a person and killed him.”

Whether to request the death penalty will be decided by the district attorney’s office for Smith County.
