This past Thursday, Devin Lloyd got a dog from the Jacksonville Humane Society.
He got Lilith, a mixed-breed puppy who was a year old. Devin went to JHS on Monday, November 11, and saw all the dogs. He chose Lilith. He gave her a night to make sure she was the best person for him, and on April 13, he made the adoption official.
Lilith was found on the west side of town as a stray.
A chain collar is what the leash you see in the picture is called. Lilith is still learning how to walk on a leash, and this helps her learn not to play tug with the leash.
Devin was eager to help Lilith be the best dog she could be by working with her.
Denise Deisler, CEO of JHS, said, “We are so glad that Devin chose Lilith and that he chose adoption.”
“The Jaguars are such great supporters of our group and community, we couldn’t have asked for a better new dad for Lilith! We can’t wait for the next season to cheer for him and the whole team.
Devin was accepted during the Big Dog Adoption Special, when the adoption fee for any dog 30 pounds or more was reduced from $50 to $0. This deal will go on at JHS, 8464 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32216, through Sunday.
