During a SWAT standoff in Columbus, Ohio, the suspect was shot and killed by police, while three policemen were stabbed.
According to WBNS-TV, authorities were summoned to a house on Cherryberry Drive on Thursday night over an allegation of a domestic altercation. This sparked the standoff. It turned into an hours-long standoff, according to reports, after police arrived at the house.
Three cops were stabbed during the standoff, according to authorities, and the man was killed by at least one SWAT officer’s gunshot during the exchange. The TV station reported that Benjamin Wheeler, 40, was subsequently identified as the culprit.
The policemen’ injuries were not life-threatening, so they were sent to a nearby hospital. As of Friday night, two had been released from the hospital.

“I am grateful beyond words to share that all three of our injured officers are expected to recover. Please join me in praying for them and their families,” Columbus Public Safety Director Kate Pishotti stated.
The motive behind the stabbing and the identity of the officer who killed the suspect are unknown. Investigating is being done by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
