A man has been accused of assaulting two individuals using a knife on different occasions within the same Orlando apartment complex, and the police are actively seeking more potential victims.
Vincent Laing Jr. has been alleged to have committed the attacks, with one incident occurring on Tuesday and another earlier this year at the Metrowest Apartments located on South Kirkman Road.
Although the exact apartment complex where the assaults took place was not specified by the police, they have expressed interest in investigating the possibility of additional victims.
According to the police, one of the victims recounted being coerced into an apartment at knifepoint and subjected to sexual assault. The victim attempted to flee in his Hyundai Elantra but was apprehended by the police.
Individuals who have been victimized by Laing or have information about such incidents are urged to get in touch with the Orlando Police Department or Central Florida Crimeline.
As confirmed on Wednesday, a judge has decided not to grant bail to Laing.
There are unresolved queries regarding how Laing knew his victims’ whereabouts. However, official documents reveal that he used the knife to threaten the victims, perpetrating sexual assaults in two apartment units.
