ST. PETERSBURG, Florida — The police in Florida have revealed the circumstances behind the death of a 2-year-old boy named Taylen Mosley, who they claim was murdered by his father one month ago.
The cause of death of the child, a toddler, was determined to be drowning, according to a statement issued by the St. Petersburg Police Department on Monday.
It was stated that Taylen had gone missing after his mother, Pashun Jeffery, age 20, was discovered stabbed to death in the bathtub of her residence on March 30. According to the authorities, Pashun Jeffery had over one hundred knife wounds.
The next day, Taylen’s corpse was discovered in Lake Maggiore stuffed inside the jaws of an alligator. According to the police, their investigation led them to suspect that Taylen’s father, Thomas Mosley, was the one who threw or put him into the river.
According to the allegations made by the police, Mosley killed both Jeffery and their kid before going to his mother’s home with cuts on his wrists and arms that were “consistent with injuries caused by slippage during a knife attack.”
After that, he sought medical attention at the St. Anthony’s Hospital. According to Chief Anthony Holloway, throughout his stay the individual in question did not participate with the hunt for his kid.
A bloody fingerprint found on a bottle of cleaning solution that was hidden beneath a bed was said to match the one that belonged to Thomas Mosley, as stated in an affidavit.
According to the police, he has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder for both of the victims’ deaths.
