According to the Vallejo Police Department, a man was taken into custody on Sunday in Vallejo after he is suspected of abducting a mother and her child. Cordell Milton Shaw was recognized as the suspect.
A caller reported that a guy brandishing a gun was holding a victim hostage, prompting officers to respond to the 100 block of Maher Court, according to the police.
After contacting the police, the victim claimed Shaw had abducted her. When she attempted to flee, he violently attacked her, she informed the police.
Following a “strategic surround and call-out operation,” Shaw turned himself up to the VPD. Safe rescue of the victim and her child was achieved.
Two loaded guns were discovered by the police during their investigation of the house; one of them was reported stolen from Stanislaus County, according to VPD.

Shaw was taken into custody on charges of domestic abuse, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and having a stolen weapon.
A 14-day-old kid was reported missing in a possible parental abduction in Vallejo on Saturday, according to a separate case. Later, the infant was discovered to be secure.
