Police Arrest Suspected Drug Dealer after Miami SWAT Raid!

Miami, FL. –  SWAT teams raided a Miami neighborhood for the second time in three months, putting residents on edge. The next day, police arrested a person they thought was a drug dealer.

Thursday morning, SWAT teams from the City of Miami Police came close to a house near Southwest 23rd Street and 14th Avenue. This was the latest wake-up call for people living in the Silver Bluff neighborhood.

Officers in tactical gear were seen taking a woman into custody on a cellphone film.

“This is the police department in Miami. “We have a warrant to search your place,” a cop said over a loudspeaker. “Walk up to the officers at the door with your hands up.”

The video was sent to 7News by homeowners who were worried.

“Don’t move around quickly, and do what the officers at the door tell you to do,” an officer said through a loudspeaker.

The woman was taken into police arrest a short time later.

Officers yelled for at least one more person to come out of the house. They later took drugs, guns, and money from the house.

Also, a bed was rolled into the street.

People in the area called 7News because, they said, things like this don’t usually happen in their area.

On Thursday, police said that no one had been arrested, but on Friday, officers said that Ivonne Rodriguez, 49, had been arrested.

An arrest form says that police in plain clothes took her into custody at her home and charged her with selling cocaine and other drug crimes.

Residents who talked to 7News said they hope this is the last time they see police presence in their neighborhood, even though it’s not the first time.

On March 7, gunshots were heard in the same area where SWAT was called on Thursday.

“I heard it,” someone from the area said.

Beba Sardia Mann of the Silver Bluff Homeowners Association said, “Someone with a high-powered rifle.”

Surveillance footage showed a guy firing multiple rounds of semi-automatic gunfire at another person, who was seen running away.

Police said they are looking into it, but they didn’t say anything else.

“I don’t feel safe,” said an area neighbor. “What about my children?” Is it safe for me to walk with them? No, I don’t.”

On March 7, no one was hurt, but there were bullet holes in a house just a few feet away.

No one has been arrested in connection with what happened on March 7.

Friday night, Miami Police said that they don’t know if the two events are related yet, but they are still looking into it.
