On Friday, the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. presidential campaign’s emergency plea to get his name added to the New York ballot was denied by the Supreme Court.

Following his campaign suspension in August and his endorsement of former President Donald Trump, Kennedy has been working to remove his name from ballots in crucial swing states.

However, he has also made an effort to remain on the ballot in places like New York, where his presence is not expected to have an impact on the contest between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

When the emergency appeal was denied, the judges remained silent.

According to earlier rulings by New York courts, Kennedy lied on his nomination petitions by stating that he lived in New York when, in fact, he was a Californian.

Kennedy’s name was not put on the ballot by an emergency order issued by the federal appeals court in New York.

The motion was made too near to the election, the state informed the high court, after tens of thousands of ballots had already been mailed.

The state stated that even though Kennedy has halted his campaign, voters are still able to write in his name if they so choose.
