Riviera Beach Police Investigate Targeted Shooting Incident on 6th Street

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. — Two separate shootings in Riviera Beach are presently under investigation.

According to Riviera Beach Police officers, the first shooting occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m. on Sunday near 1044 W. 6th Street. Fortunately, no one was injured during this shooting, as per the police.

The authorities state that the shooting on 6th Street seemed to be targeted, but they are uncertain about the motive behind it.

In this incident, there were no victims; the bullets only struck the house and a tree, as reported by the police.

Riviera Beach Police mentioned that they have recovered 20 shell casings, indicating that 18 rounds were fired during the incident.

The second shooting took place at 8 a.m. on 32nd Street.

According to the officers, a man was alone in a parked vehicle when an assailant approached and shot him.

The victim sustained an injury to his left thigh, as reported by the Riviera Beach Police to CBS12 News.

The injured man was rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he is currently undergoing surgery, as per the police statement.
