After becoming trapped on his owners’ Massachusetts home’s roof, Rocky, a rambunctious canine, was saved.

In the Revere home, the dog reportedly stuck his nose through a broken upper-story window before scaling the roof and leaving no trace of how to return inside, according to NBC Boston.

After grabbing Rocky from a fire escape and waiting for the dog’s owner to return from her job in nearby Winthrop, the animal control officer and a kind Samaritan who was passing by did so.

They managed to wriggle an air conditioner out of the way and bring Rocky back inside when Yuliana, the owner, came back.

“He has a mind of his own,” Yuliana stated. “The window was slightly open and he came out. Thank God we have really good people here in Revere to help us out with our dog.”

When Yuliana’s mother called while she was at work, she told her that Rocky, their enormous seven-year-old dog, was on the roof.

“She had gotten a call from the school straight across the street from where we live. They called the police,” she stated.

Animal Control showed up in a matter of minutes. Revere Animal Control Officer Anthony Masiello stated, “We’re good. We got the dog through the window and into a safe spot.

“It was just an accidental thing — the dog wanted to go out for a walk,” he stated.

“He’s a very good dog, very friendly dog,” Masiello continued. “I’m glad it worked out and that he didn’t jump.”
