Authorities reported on Tuesday that a South Florida school psychologist who worked with special needs kids is being charged for allegedly owning and disseminating child pornography.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided Miami-Dade police with a computer tip, according to an arrest report.
Investigators said that the report, which was sent in via Instagram on May 25, accused Robert Lee Turner, 62, of disseminating two films that had graphic content related to child sexual abuse.
In one video, two nude children who looked to be between the ages of 10 and 12 were shown indulging in sexual practices, according to the report. In the second video, four boys, ages eight to twelve, were seen in their underwear. According to officials, two of them were sleeping and the other two were having sex.
The report includes multiple thumbnail photos showing kids between the ages of 6 and 12 having sex. Turner allegedly barricaded himself in the toilet of his house, prompting the police to execute a search warrant there.
According to the authorities, Turner transmitted and advertised two videos featuring child sexual abuse to more than fifty internet users.
Turner was taken into arrest after being sent to Jackson South Medical Center for assessment. Turner’s residence still had clear evidence of the raid, including a damaged front door, according to police who said they had served a warrant there on Tuesday.
Authorities claim that Turner tried to elude capture by hiding in a restroom and obstructing cops from handcuffing him.
A Miami-Dade Schools Exceptional Student sweatshirt was observed by a Local 10 News team through the window of a car that was parked outside Turner’s house.
Subsequently, he was transferred to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where he is charged with five counts of child pornography/sexual performance, two charges of child sexual performance, and one count of resisting arrest without using force, according to jail records.

Turner showed up in Miami-Dade bond court on Tuesday morning sporting a safety smock and obvious injuries. Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer then set Turner’s bond at $28,000, put him under house arrest, and mandated that he wear a GPS monitor.
When Turner questioned the state’s request for home arrest as a condition of his bail, his public defender in bond court responded, “The state has not articulated any degree or sense of danger to the community that my client is going to do something.”
Although Glazer heard the prosecutor claim that Turner has “had contact with students who’ve graduated and have special needs, and he doesn’t want any continued contact with them,” she agreed with the state.
Turner will only be allowed to use the internet to communicate with his attorney, according to Glazer, who also imposed a no-contact order that forbids him from communicating with anyone who is younger than eighteen. Since then, Turner’s Instagram account has been deleted.
Miami-Dade County Public Schools stated that Turner was employed by the system and was sent to schools based on need, but they did not specify where in the district he worked.
