Even while the percentage of remote work chances for top-earners may have decreased since 2022, there are still plenty of flexible positions available with six-figure wages that are in high demand.
The number of remote job vacancies on the well-known job search site Indeed increased by 40% between March 2023 and March 2024. There are other positions with a lot of job ads that pay above $100,000, such as telemedicine physician and real estate analyst.
According to recent FlexJobs research, the most sought-after six-figure remote jobs that employers are searching for are in the fields of technology, sales, and marketing.
Between December 2023 and May 2024, there was a roughly 30% growth in these fields’ full-time, remote job listings on FlexJobs:
FlexJobs has picked three jobs in these areas that pay at least $100,000 and provide ample full-time options, in order to assist remote jobseekers in finding the best high-paying work.
- Salary average for product managers: $106,812
- Salary average for account directors: $103,820
- The average salary for a business development director is $113,961.
FlexJobs career analyst Keith Spencer tells CNBC Make It, “There is a common misconception that hiring drastically slows during the summer. But aside from some occasional dips due to vacations, most companies across a diverse range of industries are still hiring, including for remote jobs.”
According to Spencer, applying for jobs in the summer may increase your chances of getting a remote position “because some of your competition might be taking time off from their search.”

No matter the season, Spencer advises networking with staff members at the organizations on your target list to make your remote job application stand out.
According to him, “You want to build relationships with people doing the type of work you hope to be doing on the teams you hope to work on someday. Having an established rapport with your potential boss or colleagues can give you a huge advantage.
