The circumstances surrounding the incident in Dundalk on Saturday that left two Baltimore County police hospitalized are being looked into by Baltimore County Police.
Police report that the collision happened at approximately 5 p.m. near Portship and Sollers Point Road. The driver and passenger of the Baltimore County police car were sent to a hospital in the vicinity.
As of right present, no other injuries are known to exist.
A witness from the area remembers what happened just before the collision.
“I saw the cop car coming down the street with its lights on and this white car in front of him, didn’t stop, didn’t pull over, didn’t get out of the way at all,” Jayden, according to a witness.
Jayden said she wasn’t sure when the white car took a sharp bend if the Baltimore County police cruiser approaching from Sollers Point Road was pursuing it or attempting to avoid it.
“The white car turned, wouldn’t get out of the way, and turned down Portship (road) and kind of cut them off a little bit and the cop swerved,” Jayden said.

She claims that when the white car sped away, the cruiser lost control and slammed into a parked SUV on Portship Road.
“It was a large bang and we were like oh my god and we ran inside and told our families and the whole family came out. My cousin went over there and tried to make sure he was okay. My neighbor went over to try to make sure they were okay,” Jayden stated.
