Shocking: Duval County School Superintendent’s Job in Danger Over Scandal!

Shocking Duval County School Superintendent's Job in Danger Over Scandal!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Dozens of people are expected to attend a protest for Superintendent Dr. Diana Greene on Monday in front of the Duval County School Board. News4JAX I-TEAM sources said that Greene’s job could be in danger because of the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts incident.

Jeffrey Clayton, a longtime teacher, was arrested and charged with being lewd with a student last month. Clayton’s personal papers show that school officials have known for years about the many reports about him.

The chair of the board at DCPS said that what those records showed was shocking. In answer, she has called for a board meeting next week, where Greene could face consequences.

Elizabeth Andersen used to be on the school board and was once the board’s leader. She said that this gathering was put together because there were reports that the director might leave the district.

“In this town, she has been a strong leader. She’s been very bold and brave,” Andersen said.

In a message to DCPS, the vice chancellor of the Office of Safe Schools at the Florida Department of Education said that DCPS did not report the sexual abuse that Clayton’s layoff notice mentioned.

Andersen said that Greene shouldn’t get all the blame for the scandal at Douglas Anderson.

“When it comes to DA issues, it’s clear that this has been going on for a long time, and I’m thankful to Dr. Greene and the leaders in her administration for making an arrest,” said Andersen. “And of course, I don’t think she should be blamed for this problem, which has been going on for a long time.”
